Three weary travelers rooted in the all that is rock come together to form an incredibly solid and talented rock band that is to be known as
Started in June of 2005, T S O is one of the most powerful, talented, fun and energetic rock acts in the area. With three very different, very diverse and talented musicians in the fold the band has the ability to cover a wide variety of material with great ease and accuracy, paying respect to the music they love along the way, as well as taking age old classics and giving them an edgy, contemporary twist that makes many of the songs in their arsenal their own.
T S O is by far not your average bar band. The band is made up of three well versed and seasoned musicians from a variety of music "scenes" over the years, encompassing a vast span of experience between the three along the way.
Understanding that it takes much more than just musical skill and knowledge to make a great band and a great show, the players in T S O give more that just strong interpretations of great music, they play with heart and soul and give their all at each performance and give the crowds they play for something fun to watch as well hear.
Great musicianship, solid vocals, an entertaining stage presence and killer tunes......
All wrapped up into one sexy package...
Mark Alexander - Percussion and Vocals
Drummer and Vocalist Mark Alexander has been playing music for over two decades and began his journey in music at the tender age of thirteen. In Mark's own words , "I have been playing sloppy drums since the good Lord gave me hands!! ".
Formally trained as a percussionist in local school programs, Mark is very well versed in a variety of percussion techniques and is also studied in the area of musical notation and sight reading.
Although his appreciation for all things percussion is far too vast to mention, a few of Mark's heaviest influences include Keith Moon, John Bonham, Mitch Mitchell, Stewart Copeland, Neal Smith and the list, of course, goes on and on. Mark is truly the engine that drives TSO.
A Subtle master behind the kit, Mark is all the heavy, all the light, all the speed and all the finesse that any group could want in a well versed power percussionist.
Certainly no stranger to the live music scene, Mark has been the backbone of many area bands for the past fifteen years either as a singer, a drummer or as both. Those who have seen him play know that he may very well be one of the most dangerous drummers in the area. He can break you with the bombast of Deep Purple's Highway Star then ease you with the smooth feel of tunes such as Ready For Love by Bad Company or the driving beauty of Thank You by Led Zeppelin. All of this done while either taking on the lead vocal role or maintaining perfect harmonies.
Truly showing no limit to his skills and abilities, Mark is a sight to see.
Make a date to check him out.
You will not regret it.
Doug Daniels - Bass and Vocals
Bassist and Vocalist Doug Daniels comes to TSO with an incredible amount of musical knowledge and experience.
Doug has been a figure in the local music scene for decades and his prowess and skill as a bassist is absolutely unmatched. Many of you may recognize Doug from many of his musical endeavors from the past, the most recent being, Inside Out.
Doug's musical influences are countless and it is evident that he has studied and admired the best of the best in the Bass Biz for a long, long time.
His vocal range, his keen ear for harmonies and his knowledge and skill as a bassist add great depth and fresh life to the machine that is Third Stone Oracle.
Doug is a bassist in the truest sense of the word adding great fuel to the TSO fire.
His knowledge of music, his skill as a bassist and his drive as a musician have stepped TSO up to a new and unmatched level.
Banging the bottom end on and off stage Mr. Doug Daniels.
Make a date to check him out and welcome him to the TSO crew.
Guitarist and Vocalist Cecil Delloma has been playing guitar for over twenty years and fronting bands for the last twelve.
Before making Middletown, Ohio his home almost nine years ago, Cecil played in a variety of bands in Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Texas until finally making his final stop and home in Middletown.
Over the past few years Cecil has been involved with a number of projects in the surrounding area. For some time he fronted the now defunked rock trio Group Therapy. Shortly after that he entered into a project with Third Stone Oracle drummer Mark Alexander that was known as Big Shirley.
After a couple shows and a couple of personnel changes Big Shirley closed up shop and Mark and Cecil took off in different directions for a while.
TSO is their latest and strongest venture and with the recent addition of Bassist and Vocalist Doug Daniels it looks as if TSO is going to be the group to watch.
Cecil's list of influences could stretch on for days but the most notable are Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley and Jimi Hendrix.
You can see it on stage and hear it when he plays and Cecil definitely knows how to put on a show.
Come and check him out with the rest of the band when you get a chance. You'll be glad you did.
